FRIDAY FACE OFF MARCH 30, 2018

friday-face-off

Welcome to the Friday Face-Off, a weekly meme created by Books by Proxy. Join us every Friday as we pit cover against cover, and publisher against publisher, to find the best artwork in the literary universe.  If you want to join us next week, check out next week’s predetermined them, choose a book, compare two or more different covers available for that book, then name your favorite. A list of future weeks’ themes are available at Lynn’s Book Blog

This week’s theme is:

‘‘‘A little soil to make it grow” – a cover featuring seeds/spores

Damn, this is a difficult one. I’m going to have to dig down deep to find something which fits this theme.

Let’s see what I finally came up with.

AND THE WINNER IS . . .

Was there any doubt that I was going to pick this one? Probably not.  Honestly, this grand creativity and utter spec fic weirdness has to be remembered and celebrated from time to time.

So, do you agree with my picks?  Disagree?  Love them all?  Hate them all?  Let us know!

This was a tough one, but I love the book you picked. OMG that cover with the seed hair is hysterical!

Who would have thought that human dandelions were cool?

How do you remember books with the prerequisit info? I have a hard enough time remembering names of books, much less the covers.

  5. Your pick is a weird cover, indeed, but of a good kind of weird: I love those vintage covers, they always remind me of my first forays into the genre so many years (decades!!) ago… 🙂
